Fair Play
Took a quick trip to the annual Salisbury Charter Fair this evening.
Been meaning to take the camera down there for the past few years but never seemed to get around to it.
Here are a few shots from this evening.

Sport In Motion
Having not used my camera too much recently I am endeavouring to take it out with me a little more. Over the past couple of months I have attempted to catch a few shots at some sporting events that I have been to.
It was fun to try and capture the exact moment of action in the following 2 shots.

Long Time No See
It has been a while (where have the past few months gone!) since I have posted anything. Been using the camera a little more lately so here are a few recent shots from the Ellingham Show at the start of August.

Cotswolds
Had a great few days away in the Cotswolds last week despite the weather which was, shall we say, changeable! You don't really expect to go away in England in the summer and not expect some rain.
Unlike the Lake District last year, I didn't take too many pictures as I was enjoying the riding / walking with some good company but here are a few of my shots from around the Cotswolds.

Take Your Pick
OK, so it's been a really busy month for me and the blog has suffered with no posts at all since the start of April. So, to get it back on track what better way than to post a random macro shot!

New Forest Experience - Morning
For my birthday back in February some good friends gifted me a photography experience day in the New Forest with professional photographer Michael Palmer.
Well, today was the day and I met Michael along with the other participants at the Lyndhurst Park Hotel. The weather was perfect (especially for this time of year) with a slightly hazy start then warm bright sunshine later on.
We started the shoot with some wildlife and nature shots, then headed over to a cemetery before stopping for a bite to eat.
After lunch we were given a demo of using reflectors to light portrait shots then tried our hands at panning whilst shooting moving vehicles (to blur the background whilst keeping the subject in focus) before heading over to the local Ferrari showroom. We ending the day with some indoor photos in a church up the road.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and also the first time that I've been out with a group of photographers which was a good experience and allows you to share techniques and pick up tips. What ever level of photographer you are then I would recommend one of these experience days.
Anyway, the photos below are a selection from the morning part of the experience day. I will put some of the afternoon shots in a future post.
Moody Cow!
Cute Little Calf
One Horse Power!
Getting Up
Leaning Headstones
Flower
Remembering Lost Mothers
Arty!
Wooden Headstone
Jet Trails
Wooden Headstone Detail
More Gravestones!
