Spider Macro

Sorting through some old files I came across this spider macro which I took last summer, just after getting the 450D.

Money permitting, I would really like to get hold of a macro lens for my DSLR. I shall add that to my wish list!

Snowdrops

I keep seeing these snowdrops in my back garden and thinking that that I must take some photos of them. Quite apt considering the recent snow here! Saying that though, it has been nice sunny weather today so looks like spring might finally be approaching.

Terminated!

Just for a quick break with all the snow and winter shots I thought I'd post something different that I was messing around with last night.

It's a photo of me merged with the Terminator!!

Winter Wonderland

One day After returning from one snow covered winter wonderland in France it promptly started snowing here in the South of England. We have seen a fair bit of snow in the past week and the associated chaos that happens when we encounter any weather conditions which are outside of usual weather patterns. Roads not being adequately cleared / gritted leading to various routes being closed and thousands of schools across the UK were closed for a day or even most of the week.

The weather seems to have changed in to rain now so look out for flooding!!

Here are a few pictures I look after half a day of snow in and around the Cathedral Close.

Skiing 2009

I am now back from my skiing holiday in Val d'Isère, France. I had a great time and skiing conditions were excellent. So excellent in fact that I didn't want to take any time off to take photos! I did take the Canon S2 out for a days skiing but not the 450D as I was a little worried about falling on it!! I also had the Viewty camera phone so got a few shots with that too.

Here are a few shots from the trip (more to follow in future posts).
